About SlipSprout

Why it exists

Keeping receipts for the books is a chore. They pile up in wallets and glove boxes, the print fades, and somebody still has to type every total and VAT figure into a spreadsheet. SlipSprout started from a simple brief: recording a receipt should take a few seconds, and nobody should have to type what's already printed on it.

How we build it

• The phone does the reading. No photo goes off to a text reading service, and there's no cost per receipt.
• Recording never waits for a signal. Receipts are saved on the phone first and backed up when there's a connection.
• The original photo is kept exactly as it was taken, because that's your evidence.
• There are no adverts and no tracking.
